Tver Polytechnic University in the Russian segment of the ranking shared 82nd place along with a group of other universities. In total, 724 higher educational institutions currently operate in Russia.
The British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published a ranking of the best universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia – 2021 QS World University Rankings: EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia). It is one of the three major international university rankings. From Russia, 121 universities entered it, including the Tver State Technical University. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
In total, the QS WUR: EECA ranking includes 400 best universities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia , Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.
Institutions were assessed according to 10 criteria: academic reputation, reputation among employers, ratio of academic staff and students, number of publications per employee, international scientific relations, university influence on the Internet, proportion of employees with a PhD degree, number of citations per article, proportion of foreign employees and the proportion of foreign students. Each criterion contributed to the overall assessment of the university.
